Anytime I go to Dublin, I always stay at this hotel.

Its very convenient for the city centre, and is close to the Dart and main Bus routes.

Rooms are fairly spacious and beds are very comfortable.

Our two nights at the Mount Herbert Hotel, Dublin, were absolutely splendid.

Warm, welcoming and efficient staff, excellent facilities and a very comfortable room made our stay a memorable one.

Our thanks to all concerned.

I chose the Mount Herbert Hotel for a weekend stay to celebrate the ruby wedding anniversary of my wife and I.

Having made the choice through the internet in a city which we had never experienced before, we were pleased to find that it was located in a quiet area, conveniently close to the Dart trains for easy access to the city centre.

We arrived much earlier than the check-in time, so that we could leave our luggage and explore the city, but were immediately given a very friendly welcome, checked in with a minimum of fuss, and allocated a room which was very spacious, clean, and had all the facilities expected of such an establishment.

The attention given to us by the staff was first-class, as was the dining room experience. Breakfasts were of a high standard and the surroundings were bright and clean. The evening meal experience, where we 'pushed the boat out' to celebrate, was enjoyable, even though we had to be amused at the rather lamentable attempts by the wine waiter to remove the cork from a bottle of very nice Australian Shiraz.

It eventually took two of them to complete the task and did prove that the poor chap had been thrown in to perform as well as he could without the requesite training.

It made the experience memorable and all the more enjoyable for the less than regimental behaviour of the staff.

On checking out, there was no problem with asking the reception staff to care for our luggage for the day whilst we made our final explorations of the surrounding area.

All together, the Mount Herbert experience was memorable, for all the right reasons, not least for the friendly attitude of the reception staff who are, after all, the first people in the establishment to set the standard that the guest is to expect.

Should we visit Dublin again, it is a hotel which would be very high on my recommended list.

We (husband + 2 children) had a lovely stay in the Mount Herbert. The hotel facilities were fine, bedrooms were spacious and well eqipped and the atmosphere in the bar was convivial. Every member of staff we met was helpful, pleasant and welcoming. Added to all that was the great deal for families offered! We would definitely recommend the Mount Herbert. We booked via Central Reservations and were delighted with their efficient handling of the booking and the ease of use of the website.

Great hotel, Good food and large local bar, close to train. Very friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of parking for Dublin. We actual moved back there from a highly rated B&B because of location and staff. Also, has Wi-Fi hot spot.

I stayed at your hotel a few weeks ago on the night of the Britney Spears concert.

I had an exam in the RDS on the Bank Holiday Monday morning (no britney concert for me!) so as I live outside of Dublin (Laytown..trains not going) I needed somewhere near the RDS, quiet and very relaxing to stay and be able to study.

I found all the staff excellent and helpful and the hotel overall was clean and well looked after.

The quietness I needed and the overall facilities at the hotel will bring me back when I am planning a night out in Dublin as I also enjoyed a relaxing pint in your bar to calm me down!

PS I did need to have a good breakfeast on the Monday morning and I was not disappointed, just what I needed before 3 hrs writing! (thanks chefs and staff)

My stay at the Mount Herbert Hotel was very pleasant. The room was very clean and the service was excellent. Everyone I encountered was very helpful in making me feel welcome at the hotel and in helping me find my way around the city.

I had difficulty in accessing a DSL line for my work, but was assisted by the front office staff in gaining access to a line in the evenings in order to communicate with those I needed to online. I was able to log on and post by 6 p.m. each evening, in plenty of time to access business hours here in the U.S.
Although the hotel was a bit removed from the main bus route,
I was able to gain easy access into the City Center by bus or rail. I also traveled in the opposite direction on a holiday to visit Powerscourt, thanks to the schedule and instructions provided by the desk personnel.

I had a very comfortable experience at the Mount Herbert Hotel, and would recommend it to others.

The hotel is situated in a leafy avenue in South Dublin only a bus ride away from the city centre, buses every 10 mins . The Dart station is 5 minute walk away. We explored the surrounding area by foot & felt very safe even late at night.
The hotel was clean, very quiet & peaceful with little or no traffic noise so we were able to have an uninterrupted nights' sleep which was essential for us as my daughter was attending an Ireland U16 hockey training weekend at UCD . Recommend it for those who want the best of both worlds , easy access to the bustle of the city centre but able to enjoy the slow & eay pace of suburban Dublin

My stay at the Mt. Herbert was wonderful. I originally booked two dates and found out once I arrived there that I needed to adjust one of the dates. The front desk employees were very kind in allowing me to not only adjust the dates I was going to to stay there but also allowing me to store some of my luggage there while I was out exploring the country.

I ate both dinner and breakfast in your restaurant and found both times that the food was great.

The best place to stay in Dublin if you are going to a game at Lansdowne Road. Very reasonably priced and as close as any hotel could be to a major sporting venue. Top quality staff!!
